Philosophy
Before any rule — understand the intent behind them. Non-Sense RP is built on a simple foundation: everyone's here to have a good time, and good RP comes from working with other players, not against them.
Fun for All Parties
The goal of every scene is fun for everyone involved. Losing is not a punishment — it's an opportunity for better RP. Don't play to win, play to tell a good story.
Roleplay Over Ruleplay
Play through scenes as they unfold. If a rule gets broken, finish the scene and report it after. Pausing the world over technicalities ruins the immersion for everyone.
Judgement by Impact
Staff evaluate actual impact on the scene and players involved — not every minor decision. Good-faith mistakes are treated differently from deliberate exploitation.
Warning Point System
Rule breaks are tracked with a warning point system. Points accumulate automatically into escalating consequences. Consistency and fairness across all players.
Community Rules
These rules apply everywhere — in-game, on Discord, and in any community space. There is no "it's just a game" exception here.
No Racism, Sexism, or Hateful Prejudice
No slurs, sexist remarks, or prejudiced language — in character or out of character. "It's just RP" is not a valid defence and will not be accepted as one. This applies to all platforms and all contexts.
No Real-World Political or Discriminatory Roleplay
No racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, or real-world political issues in any direction. Fictional in-game group rivalry and faction conflict is perfectly fine — real-world hate dressed up as RP is not.
Roleplay First
Stay in character at all times. Reciprocate RP from other players. Engage with police meaningfully during criminal scenes — don't cop bait, and don't let in-character events carry over into OOC frustration or behaviour.
No Harassment
No sexual harassment, unwanted DMs, or sustained personal intimidation targeting a player rather than their character. There is a clear line between in-character conflict and targeting someone as a person — don't cross it.
No Toxicity
No OOC abuse, deliberate griefing, or malicious conduct directed at staff or other community members. If you have feedback or a grievance, it goes through proper channels — not public channels, not DMs, not passive-aggressive behaviour in game.
General Rules
The following apply to all in-game activity. These rules exist to protect the quality of RP for everyone on the server.
No Exploiting
No combat logging, no running major crime within 30 minutes of a server restart, no clipping through walls, no animation abuse in combat, and no transferring items or money between your own characters. If it feels like cheating, it probably is.
Abusing Respawn Mechanics
Respawning is a last resort — use the medical alert in any active conflict. Respawning specifically to avoid being searched or looted is treated as an automatic ban. You chose to be in the scene; see it through.
Green Zones
Conflict near police stations, hospitals, and courthouses requires a genuine RP foundation. Repeated low-effort breakouts, drive-by shootouts, or brawls at these locations with no meaningful story behind them are not permitted.
No Bad Faith Hold Ups
Don't initiate a hold up on someone locked in a menu — elevator, clothing store, ladder interaction, etc. They must have a realistic chance to respond to your initiation. Targeting someone who is physically unable to react is bad faith RP.
Value Your Life
Surrender when held at gunpoint or when you're unarmed, unless your weapon is already drawn and you have a realistic chance. Fleeing police is permitted — suicidal charges are not. Your character wants to live.
No Metagaming
Don't act on information your character didn't earn in character. That includes stream info, Discord leaks, or following streamers to clout-chase. What happens OOC stays OOC. Your character only knows what they've witnessed or been told in-world.
No Stream Sniping
Don't watch a streamer's broadcast to gain in-character information about their location or activities. Don't engage their chat during active conflict. This is a form of metagaming and is treated with the same severity.
No Powergaming
Don't strip another player of their ability to respond. No forced /me actions on others, no chaining actions with no opportunity to react, no claiming outcomes that haven't been played out. RP is collaborative — give people room.
Consent
Extended torture or dismemberment requires all-party consent. The following are never permitted under any circumstances:
- Suicide or self-harm roleplay
- Terminal illness roleplay
- Mass casualty or school shooting roleplay
- Pregnancy complication roleplay
No Copyright Music
Do not play copyrighted music through the server. This protects streamers and the server itself. If you're unsure whether something is cleared, don't play it.
No Random Deathmatching (RDM)
No attacking players without prior verbal RP or active initiation establishing reason. Drive-bys included — there must be a roleplay foundation for lethal action. Shooting someone because you felt like it is an instant ban.
Player Limits
4v4 maximum for civilian/criminal conflicts. Police are capped at 8 officers during heists. Both sides may agree to waive these limits via OOC agreement before the scene begins.
Off-Server Conduct
Staff don't mediate personal disputes between players. However, the team reserves the right to remove anyone whose off-server behaviour poses a genuine threat to the safety or culture of the community.
No Erotic Roleplay (ERP)
Not permitted under any circumstances, on any platform associated with Non-Sense RP. No exceptions.
Fail RP
No immersion-breaking character appearances or behaviour. No win-at-all-costs mentality, excessive grinding at the expense of RP, or a combat-only playstyle. Players who consistently bring low-value RP to the server are subject to removal regardless of rule breaks.
Bans and Appeals
All ban appeals go through the website only. Do not contact the banning staff member directly. Do not publicly litigate your ban in Discord, in-game, or anywhere else. Doing so will be treated as additional grounds for refusal.
Submit an Appeal →Ocean Dumping
Permitted for legitimate story purposes. Cannot be used to force permadeath or memory loss on another player. Dumping a vehicle with no RP context behind it is considered Fail RP.
No Vehicle Deathmatching (VDM)
Don't use your vehicle as a weapon. One exception: a single vehicle strike as the only realistic means of escape in an active threat. No warlording — ramming or tackling to execute already-incapacitated players is not permitted.
Pocket Wiping
Don't strip everything from a downed or robbed player. Taking a weapon or valuables is fine — that's part of the scene. Taking food, water, and miscellaneous items with no RP reason is considered griefing.
Endless Conflict
Every conflict must have a realistic path to resolution. Repeatedly targeting the same person or group with no reasonable way out — no end state, no story purpose — is griefing. Conflict should serve the narrative.
Conflict Cooldown
A minimum 30-minute cooldown is required between large-scale shootouts involving multiple casualties on either side. This is a hard floor — not a suggestion.
Government Rules
Government faction players (police, EMS, legal) must always offer counterplay in their scenes. No targeting criminal groups without a legitimate RP foundation. Corruption storylines are permitted but carry full in-character consequences. False warrants and selling job supplies are never permitted.
Metadumping
Criminal mechanics must develop organically through in-character relationships. No bulk information dumps to police. No criminal how-to guides or wikis. Trust must be genuinely established before bringing someone into criminal operations — not assigned out of convenience.
POV Recording Allowlist Only
Allowlisted players must have a stream or recording running during any active conflict. POV footage must be retained for a minimum of 7 days. Staff may request footage at any time — failure to provide it will be treated as if the footage showed a rule break.
Character Names
Names must be original. No real celebrities, public figures, fictional characters, or content creators. Your character is a person in this world — give them a name that fits.
New Life Rule (NLR)
Memory after incapacitation is based on severity:
Permadeath is solely the player's own decision. It cannot be forced by another player under any circumstances.
Graphics and Modifications
No modifications that provide a combat advantage. Prohibited mods include: enhanced visibility, widened FOV, audio enhancements for footsteps or gunshots, and altered blood or hit feedback. Visual mods with no gameplay impact (graphics presets, non-combat texture mods) are generally fine.
Reporting Rule Violations
Reports must be submitted within 48 hours of the incident and must include evidence. Harassment and hate speech reports should be submitted immediately. Reports without evidence may not be actionable.
No Advertising
Do not promote other FiveM servers, Discords, or communities in any Non-Sense RP space without explicit prior approval from staff. Unsolicited advertising will result in an immediate ban.
Ban Evasion and Alt Accounts
Creating alternate accounts to evade a ban or monitor community spaces is not permitted. Any alternate Discord or FiveM accounts must be disclosed to staff proactively. Undisclosed alts found during a ban are treated as evasion.
Ticket and Channel Use
Use channels for their intended purpose. No spam, joke reports, or arguing with staff inside tickets. If you disagree with a staff decision, raise it through the correct appeal process — not by reopening tickets or posting publicly.
Server Events
Don't interrupt concerts, debates, funerals, or similar community events. If your RP storyline genuinely intersects with a planned event, you must get senior staff approval beforehand — not during or after.
Looting After Shootouts
A 2-minute loot window applies after a shootout ends, or until police begin scene cleanup — whichever comes first. Don't make other players wait unnecessarily. A conflict is considered over after a 5-minute break in shooting — no looting, resupplying, and re-engaging after that point.
Convoy Rule
Maximum 3 vehicles in a rolling shootout. Replacing a disabled vehicle is permitted. Roaming in a supercar convoy to hunt targets with no RP setup is Fail RP — the street isn't your arena.
Post-Conflict Behavior
Stay in character while downed. No trash talk, no complaining about mechanics, no going AFK. If you have a genuine issue with the scene, open a ticket — don't let it bleed into the game world and impact the scene for everyone else.
